No, the Oklahoma Supreme Court can't take your check, but the Osage Nation very well could. The 1906 Act has been amended 16 times and, each time, the trend is to shore up the Mineral Estate as property of Osage Indians and/or the Osage Nation (excluding, of course, any headrights already outside Osage hands). If Osages who are less than one-fourth degree blood are purged from the rolls, that's step one. Step two is a coup on the headrights. I agree that these are questions to be posed to the Administration for straight answers, especially as concerns the upcoming meetings with officials in the Department of the Interior. However, someone else will have to carry that torch as my email address has been suppressed from the tribal server and I am unable to correspond by email with anyone with an "osagetribe.org" address. It sounds strange, but it's very true.
