I am not an employee of the Osage Nation nor ever have been. I am not related to any employee so no use trying to figure out who may have talked. No tribal employee has said anything to me. I, too, have heard the rumors of the meeting. My understanding is that it was on Feb 10th when employees were told there was no use complaining or asking for any changes or giving any input to the proposed constitution because it was already composed according to the will of the people...or at least all input was finished at that time..no use criticizing and going against the will of the people was the earnest message. I understand at least one Government Reform Commission member was present to underscore the importance of all the work done according to the will of the people. I also understood a high level Osage leader was present. I do not know any specific time but heard it was an afternoon meeting. Perhaps no one was told to vote yes..I would be suprised if they were but it was a shame that it was perhaps made known that dissent would be against the will of the people. I know of many people urging the commission to listen to them in February. They were Osage people who wanted someone to listen to reasonable ideas. They voiced their concerns through letters to the chief and council....were they, too, told it was no use going against the will of the people? Were their letters answered? Were voices heard at the town meetings or was it already too late for input? Was anyone listening? Ok....I agree with the writer who said they get a "pass" on that day. That was before the new Constitution was ratified or the vote took place. I just thought someone should nail down a date and here it is. Again, try Feb l0th around 3PM
