RESOLUTION OF THE OSAGE TRIBAL COUNCIL No. 31-1532 WHEREAS, 1. The Osage Tribal Council, organized pursuant to provisions of the Act of June 28, 1906, 34 Stat. 539, as amended, and is the last governing body of the Osage Tribe of Indians elected pursuant to the 1906 Act; and 2. The Osage Government Reform Commission is charged by the Osage Tribal Council to manage and administer the election process to elect the Osage Nation Government Officials as provided in the Constitution pursuant to the Ordinance establishing the Osage Government Reform Commission and defining its Duties and Responsibilities under Section 4. Duties, Part B., enacted by Resolution No. 31-1032 on February 25, 2005; and 3. The Osage Tribal Council has reviewed and considered the Election Regulations, for the Osage Government Reform Election of Officers to the Osage Nation Government to be held on June 5, 2006; and 4. The Osage Tribal Council believes it to be in the best interest of the Tribe to approve the Election Regulations. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, 1. The Osage Tribal Council hereby approves the “Election Regulations”, for the Osage Government Reform Election of Officers to the Osage Nation to be held on June 5, 2006, attached and made part of this Resolution; and 2. The Principal Chief, or in his absence the Acting Principal Chief, is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution. CERTIFICATION I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution No. 31-1532 was considered by the Osage Tribal Council at a duly called meeting in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, at which a quorum was present and the same was adopted by a vote of 6 in favor, 0 opposed and 2 absent on this 15th day of March 2006. ____________________________ Principal Chief Attest: ______________________________ Secretary
