Yes, it's true that technology will be the difference in this and the coming elections. When my uncle ran for Tribal Council (and lost) more than 20 years ago, the outcome depended on bankrolling massive mail-outs to Texas and California. Even though the Tribe and the Osage Government Reform Commission have invested heavily in their efforts (mailings, trips out-of-state, phone banks, full-page ads in major newspapers), the REAL battle is being waged FOR FREE over email. The Council should have taken all the money (and I WILL find out how much) that has been spent on the government reform effort, and should have built a library/computer lab for the elders who have shown such an interest in email and technology throughout this process. It is quite amazing . . .
