Constance, the letter you recieved from the OSA didn't mean that a "yes" vote would cause you to lose your headright. What it did say was that the proposed Constitution is so poorly written that it leaves the door open for a chalenge to the Mineral Trusts' rights to the Mineral income. Even with the ambiguious wording of the the document it would be quite a feat for a challenge to prevail. But they could well tie up the funds for years and cost the whole tribe a fortune fighting it. The reform commission refuses to admit they could have made a mistake and would allow no input from those outside the commission and wouldn't even consider making any changes to their original version. Since this is only one of many serious flaws in the document it is our best option to defeat this one, and start again with a new properly worded document.
