I have asked and been given permission to post other's articles..no offense meant, if I missed anyone. The following from Angela R. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REALIZING THAT SOME OF YOU ARE ON MORE THAN ONE MAILING LIST, PLEASE JUST DELETE THE DUPLICATES YOU RECEIVE. ANGELA ---------- Subject: Fw: Pages of Resolution 31-1470 Geoffrey Standing Bear just wrote up a document, for the Council, that they have formed a Department of Natural Rescources and this is the resolution the Council approved. In this document, they have listed and put MINERALS about halfway down the list of things that are in this Department. What???? That is OUR MINERALS. Why is it listed under the Department of Natural Rescources? It is supposed to be out there by itself. Are they messing with our Mineral Estate? Subject: FW: Pages of Resolution 31-1470 Here is a resolution that was voted on March 1, 2006. Was this a unanimous yes vote? I was told that it was. The vote count is not on this copy. I realize that at the present time this Council can make this resolution. But why now ? Do you think that this reflects their constitution, pg 26, Article XV - Natural Resources and Minerals Management. I've read it and that's what it looks like to me. One way or another they are bound and determined to have this natural resources and minerals management. Is this the backup plan if the constitution fails ? Could this be why they tried so deligently to compact the BIA. Compacting would of given them ultimate control over our minerals leasing contracts and interest. I haven't seen so much effort to control the minerals since T-Bone Pickens made an offer to buy the Osages minerals interest/ reserve in the 80's. Now that was a fight. Surely, they aren't planning on selling or compacting our Minerals interest/reserve. We need to continue to be watchful over our minerals estate.
